It offers you our new SmartComms kit, which includes a range of intelligent communication software features such as automatic mute and two-way noise cancellation, which is guaranteed to redefine your video calling experience.
We’ve also ensured comfort and quality are maintained with a direct microphone mute button, bass boost and dynamic EQs as well as an instant audio upgrade that outperforms the standard audio on any of your devices.
VoiceDetect automatic mute activation and disarming
Our VoiceDetect function controls your mute status by voice recognition. Your microphone will automatically mute when you stop talking and turn on again when you start talking. No need to use buttons.
If you need to talk to someone incidentally, temporarily disable the VoiceDetect function by manually pressing the mute button of the microphone and disable the mute with the same button to reactivate the VoiceDetect function.
Red LED: Microphone mute + VoiceDetect deactivated
LED off: Microphone not mute + VoiceDetect activated
For VoiceDetect to work, the mute of your microphone must be canceled. Then control over the outgoing audio of your microphone is taken to automatically deactivate the mute when talking and reactivate the mute when stopped.
NoiseClean two-way noise cancellation
Background noise will disturb all calls, whether from the environment or from colleagues. Interfering background noise!
But what if it’s the background sound of your colleague that makes you crazy? With our NoiseClean features, we have the perfect solution to reduce static background noise on both sides – for incoming and outgoing audio.
NoiseClean-in analyzes the incoming audio signals (imagine a colleague with a loud background in your video conversation), detects and suppresses the unwanted noise, and then only sends your colleague’s clean voice to you via your headphones.
NoiseClean-out does the same but for your own background noise. And don’t just believe our words. Hear it yourself!

Plug in, download and get started. With the Sound Blaster Play! 4. You can communicate more intelligently in 3 simple steps:
Close the Sound Blaster Play! 4 via the USB-C port to your Windows PC. If your computer only has a USB-A port, don’t worry. We have also included a USB-C to USB-A converter for you. Download the creative app from our worldwide information website for the Sound Blaster Play! 4down and install it on your Windows PC. Go to the SmartComms Kit module and make sure it is turned on.
And you’re done To make further settings or control each function individually, use the advanced settings of the SmartComms Kit module.
